Songbird Celebration

Winter Open House

Join Blue Jay Point County Park for virtual and in-person events as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of our Winter Open House! The fun will take place throughout the month of February.
Night Owls and Candle Magic

6:30–9 p.m.
Bring the "night owls" in your family to enjoy the magic of a stroll along our luminary-lined trail as you learn about the late fall seasonal activities of our local owls. Bring your travel mug for hot cocoa and enjoy a lantern-lit craft project before you go home. FREE and for all ages (baby backpacks are recommended rather than strollers). No dogs, please. The last "stroll" at Night Owls and Candle Magic begins at 8:30 p.m. Perfect for Jr. Naturalist families, Scouts and Y groups! No preregistration is needed for this evening event.
Big Sweep Lakeside Cleanup

9 a.m.–noon
Join ranks to help clean up the Falls Lake shoreline around Blue Jay Point. All volunteers must be ages 8 and up. Volunteers under age 16 must come with a participating supervisory adult or parent/guardian. This is an excellent opportunity to provide a great community service – preregistration is required – groups may register beginning in August by calling 919-870-4330 or emailing bluejaypoint@wakegov.com. Individuals may register themselves beginning in August.
