Wake County to Close Facilities Sunday due to Winter Weather

With several inches of snow on the ground and temperatures dipping into the teens overnight, Wake County has proactively decided to close all county facilities on Sunday, Jan. 23. The safety of county employees and our customers is paramount, which is why we want them to avoid driving in dangerous conditions.

As a reminder, Wake County Public Health COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinics are also closed today, Jan. 22. All testing and vaccine appointment holders will receive an email to let them know they can return on Monday or Tuesday to their scheduled site where their appointment will be honored.

All other Radeas and NCDHHS/Mako Medical testing sites in Wake County are also closed today.

Wake County Emergency Management staff will continue to monitor the forecast throughout the weekend and determine if any additional schedule changes are needed.
