Wake County, the Raleigh Chamber and the Triangle DEI Alliance are excited to take A Better Wake’s Blueprint to Dismantle Systemic Racism from planning to action with the involvement of the Wake County community.

They’re holding four town hall meetings where attendees can learn what is currently being done to address each of the four focus areas in Wake County and discover how to make a difference with the 40 goals and 150 near-term action items from the A Better Wake Blueprint to Dismantle Systemic Racism.

The community is invited to join in the mission focusing on economic mobility, criminal justice, educational equity, and health equity – beginning on April 11.

To reimagine systems that create inequitable outcomes for Black and Brown residents, the Triangle DEI Alliance and its partners built on the longstanding work in the community to create a Blueprint to Dismantle Systemic Racism in Wake County. The Blueprint is a living document created by a group of more than 50 leaders from community-based organizations who met from June through November 2021.
