Step Out Against Child Abuse Walk

About This Event

Grab your family and friends to help us close out Child Abuse Prevention Month with a one mile walk around one of Wake County’s many parks and preserves. We'll also be sharing the Five Protective Factors with our communities in order to create a culture of awareness and support.

Saturday, April 27 | 10 a.m. 

Parks participating:

Park Meetup Information:

  • Crowder County Park: Meet at the volleyball court. Walk the paved path around the perimeter of the park.
  • Oak View:  Meet outside the Farm History Center. Walk around the Pecan Grove.
  • Sandy Pines: Meet at the picnic area adjacent to the parking area. Walk the Longleaf Pine Pond loop (trail 2 with pink markers).
  • Lake Crabtree: Meet at the gravel lot near the spillway and walk Old Beech Nature Trail.
  • American Tobacco Trail – New Hill Entrance: Meet at the comfort station and head north.
  • Green Hills: Meet at the playground and walk the pedestrian loop and Top of the Hill Trail.
