Public Programs
The Wake County portion of the American Tobacco Trail offers a variety of staff or volunteer-led public learning opportunities on topics of interest in environmental education, natural resources, cultural history and recreational activities for both families and individuals of all ages. Our popular Family Programs comprise the majority of our offerings and are designed for families to enjoy together. We also offer programs geared toward teens and adults which allow nature discovery at a higher level. All programs require preregistration through our online system.

Our events calendar shows upcoming events in the park that may impact visitors in the park. These include our own major events, but also events hosted by outside organizations, such as marathons.
