Mollie Huston Lee Collection

Collection chronicling the African American experience both locally and nationally. Collection started and maintained by Mollie Huston Lee, the first African American librarian in Wake County.

The Lee Collection is now housed primarily at the Richard B. Harrison Community Library. Materials that are academic in nature are housed at Shaw University's James Cheek Library.

Elizabeth Reid Murray Collection

Wake County Public Libraries houses the vast research collection of Wake County historian Elizabeth Reid Murray.

The collection is located at the Olivia Raney Local History Library and includes books, maps, slides and files on nearly 100 subjects.
