What is a Transfer Partner?
A Transfer Partner is a government shelter or 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue that takes over the care and possible adoption of an animal.
What does Wake County offer our Transfer Partners?
- Animals are vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.
- Animals may be spayed or neutered, depending on space and surgery availability.
- There are no pull fees for animals that are deemed Transfer Partner Only due to medical or behavioral needs. Fees may apply to adoptable animals.
