Wake County Identifies Second COVID-19 Outbreak at Raleigh Assisted Living Facility

Wake County Public Health has confirmed an outbreak of COVID-19 at Abbotswood at Stonehenge, an assisted living facility located at 7900 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh.

This is the facility’s second outbreak. The prior one occurred in July 2020. No additional information about residents or employees within the facility will be disclosed.

The N.C. Department of Health and Human Services defines an outbreak as two or more people – residents or employees – testing positive for the virus. Because of the possibility for rapid spread of COVID-19 in long-term settings, NCDHHS shares guidance on the steps these facilities should take following an outbreak.
