The Civil Rights Movement Through the Eyes of Jackie Robinson

Baseball Player about to swing bat

About This Event

75 years ago Jackie Robinson broke baseball’s color barrier and worked to advance the cause of civil rights not only in baseball, but in all aspects of American life.

He died before his time, but the inscription on his tombstone will live forever – “A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.”

Come hear Chris Martens, a six-time Emmy Award winner and a former Senior Coordinating Producer at ESPN, present on the life, work, and impact of this singular figure of the 20th century.
