Please join us at our Big Sweep event at one of our oldest zones, Walnut Creek Wetland Park! Partners for Environmental Justice have been hosting Big Sweeps at this zone for more than 30 years; join the legacy! Volunteers will meet at the main entrance to Walnut Creek Wetland Park at 950 Peterson Street in Raleigh. Extra parking is available on Peterson and State Streets. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather in clothing that can get wet, torn, or messy and with closed-toed shoes. Volunteers will be divided into teams that will tackle various zones including along sidewalks, down ravines, in creeks, and along the greenway. Please bring your own gloves and water bottles. All other supplies will be provided. Light refreshments will be available at the conclusion of the event. Masks are required for all indoor spaces.
Pre-registration is required. Adults must register and accompany children.
Adults must register and accompany children under the age of 16. Everyone who volunteers must sign a release form. If anyone is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian must sign their form as well.
If you are a group registering, a group leader must email email@example.com to register. All groups will be required to provide a list of names and emails for their volunteers.
