All hands on deck! Come join Big Sweep and our partners, Boylan Heights Association, in removing litter from Rocky Branch near Dix Park in downtown Raleigh. Help remove litter that directly pollutes the Walnut Creek watershed. Volunteers will meet at the Greenway Trail Head at Dorothea Dix Park on Tate Dr. at Boylan Avenue. Additional parking is at the top of the hill on either side of the old hospital building. Please come appropriately dressed for the weather in clothing that can get wet, torn, or messy with long pants and closed-toed shoes. Volunteers will be divided into teams that will tackle various zones including along greenways, roadsides, fields, and into the creek. Please bring water bottles. All other supplies will be provided. This site has some steep banks, bees/yellow jackets, and possible poison ivy.

Volunteers must be ages 13 and up. Adults must register and accompany children under the age of 16. Everyone who volunteers must sign a release form. If anyone is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian must sign their form as well.
