The Register of Deeds office administers Notary Public Oaths for Wake County notaries. You will receive notice by mail from the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State to be sworn in at the Wake County Register of Deeds office.

Where do I take my Notary Public Oath?

What do I need?
Government-issued photo ID.
The name listed on the ID must match the Notary’s commission name.
