Lake Crabtree couldn’t operate without the gracious assistance of many members of the public and organizations that volunteer.

Lake Crabtree County Park has a variety of year-round opportunities for motivated individuals as well as organized groups.  Learn more about volunteer opportunities below. Please email the appropriate staff members based on your area of interest.

Important Note: All volunteers must complete a Volunteer Release Form. All minors must bring a completed form signed by a parent or legal guardian, and all participants are encouraged to bring their completed forms with them.

Big Sweep

Spring Big Sweep

Saturday, April 6
9 a.m.–noon

Help clean up Lake Crabtree's shoreline and other areas around the park. Individuals, families, and groups can register to participate in this event. Anyone under the age of 18 (including high school students) must be accompanied by an adult. Gloves and bags will be provided. Participants must complete a Volunteer Waiver Form prior to the event. Long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required. Drinking water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Be prepared to drive to your location since not all spots are easily accessible from inside the park.

Pollinator Festival

Saturday, June 29, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Volunteer Shift – 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. 

The Lake Crabtree Pollinator Festival is a fun-filled, family-friendly event to celebrate all types of pollinators. Help park staff run festival booths, activities and crafts. Volunteers must complete a Volunteer Waiver Form prior to the event. Drinking water, sunscreen and a hat are recommended. Be prepared to interact with the public and learn a lot about the importance of pollinators!
