Turnipseed Nature Preserve is a 265-acre park located south of Wendell in the eastern part of Wake County, near the Johnston County line.

PEAK SEASON
Summer hours from Mother’s Day until the first weekend of August:
8 a.m.–Sunset 
Monday–Sunday

OFF-PEAK SEASON
Winter hours from first weekend in August until Mother’s Day:
8 a.m.–Sunset 
Saturdays and Sundays

Preserve is also open on the following holidays:

Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day

Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
