Group Programs

Historic Oak View County Park offers curriculum-based educational programs for students to learn about the daily lives of 19th and 20th century farmers. We offer a variety of program options to fit your group's age and size. Through hands-on activities and engaging and interactive presentations, your students will leave Oak View with a deeper understanding of the lives of people, free and enslaved, landowner and landless, who lived and worked at Oak View before and after the Civil War.

Camps

Historic Oak View offers one week of summer camp each year. Farm Camp invites young learners to catch a glimpse into the life of a farmer and much more! Activities include games, hands-on activities related to the farm's live animals (goats and chickens), fishing, intro to beekeeping, trail hikes, educational programs, arts and crafts projects, and guest speakers.

Major Events

Please note: Due to COVID-19, major events are canceled through the end of 2021.
