Accessibility Statement

The Wake County section of the American Tobacco Trail welcomes all visitors and affirms its commitment to offering programs and services that are accessible to everyone. We will make every effort to ensure that visitors of all abilities are fully included in all our programs and facilities.

Visitors of Different Physical Abilities

The trail surface in the Wake County section is composed of crushed granite screenings which are wheelchair accessible. In addition, e-bikes (bicycles with an integrated electric motor used to assist propulsion) are permitted.

Both the New Hill and White Oak parking areas feature ADA-compliant restrooms and parking. There are clearly marked accessible parking spaces at New Hill near the restroom building, with additional accessible spaces at the picnic area at the bottom of the hill nearest the start of the trail.
