Western Regional Community Advocacy Committee (WRCAC)

Every Wake County Regional Center and Health & Human Services Center has a Community Advocacy Committee (CAC). These volunteer groups are committed to working within communities to ensure quality services are available for residents of that area. Members include local residents, community partners (representing private businesses, nonprofit groups, government entities and educational associations) and county staff. They work together to identify and prioritize local needs. The committee also serves as a forum for sharing information, coordinating services and involving the community in a shared decision-making process.

Western Regional CAC

A representative body of individuals and organizations reflecting the diversity of the western region. Convened by WCHHS to help fulfill its mission by addressing the conditions in which people live, work and play in the western region to ensure all residents will have opportunities to improve their lives.

Mission Statement

To ensure the residents of Western Wake County (Apex, Cary and Morrisville) have equal access to Health and Human Services and to engage the community, so it is evident to everyone that addressing the basic human needs of the Western region will improve the quality of life for everyone, not just the recipients of the services.

Vision Statement

A Network of Care that implements sustainable programs, broadens services and resources, and has a positive impact on the quality of life in the Western Wake Community.

The WRCAC meets the fourth Wednesday of every month.
