Wake County Fire Services held a community meeting on Aug. 30 to discuss the potential construction of a new fire station to serve the northwestern portion of Wake County. The area is currently served by the Creedmoor Fire Department and Northern Wake Fire Department, but it is outside of any station's five-mile response boundaries. Building a new station would allow for quicker response times and lower insurance premiums for most residents. View the presentation from the meeting below.
Based on feedback at the community meeting, Wake County is moving forward with a land search for the new fire station. A second meeting will be planned to update residents and provide answers to any additional questions. Check back here for updates.
