Committees

Public Relations Committee - The Public Relations Committee shall consist of at least three members. It shall review the Directory annually and update it if the Committee considers it advisable. It shall consider and/or establish a Speakers Bureau and shall carry out activities and facilitate the work of the Commission.

Legislative Committee - The Program Committee shall consist of three members.
It shall inform WCCW of federal, state and local legislation that may be important to women and shall recommend appropriate action to be taken by WCCW. It shall consider partnering with a non-partisan group to develop opportunities to learn more about legislation of importance to women. It shall review the WCCW Bylaws annually and shall receive, consider, and initiate revisions and amendments.

Nominating Committee - The Nominating Committee shall consist of three members nominated from the floor and elected by a majority of members in attendance at the WCCW February meeting. The Committee will elect its Chair. The Committee shall present a slate of nominees for WCCW officers at the January meeting of the next calendar year.

Program Committee - The Program Committee shall consist of at least three members. The Chair shall present at the March WCCW meeting a proposal for projects and programs for the ensuing year. The Committee will coordinate and oversee these, unless otherwise directed by the WCCW Chair.

Communications Committee - The Communications Committee shall consist of three members. It shall work closely with the WCCW support staff, Wake County Board of Commissioners, and Wake County Human Services staff. It shall maintain contact with members as directed by the Chair and shall assist with maintaining the WCCW
Web site.
