Using Your Online Banking Bill Pay
Pay a tax bill using your financial institution’s bill pay service. To allow for processing, we recommend scheduling your payment to be made at least 5 business days prior to the actual due date on the tax bill. Be certain to verify the property tax account number submitted with your payment as it can change between billings. Delayed posting may occur if the incorrect tax account number is provided. Please use a remittance address of:
Wake County Revenue Department P.O. Box 580084 Charlotte NC 28258-0084
By Checking Account Draft
This method of payment authorizes Wake County Revenue Department to draft the one-time payment directly from your checking account.
To pay online by checking account draft, you will need the property tax account number and Payment Access Code, which are located on your tax bill. If you do not have the Access Code, please email a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Requests should include the tax account number (if available), the name(s) on the bill, and a brief description of the property.
No service fees are charged for use of this payment option. Your checking account will be debited within two business days from the time of your online authorization.
With Visa or MasterCard
Pay Online: Payments made using a Visa or MasterCard Consumer Debit card are assessed a flat fee of $3.95 per transaction regardless of the amount of tax paid. All other MasterCard and Visa cards incur a service charge of 2.2% of the tax amount charged. A minimum service charge of $1.00 applies. The system is available 24 hours a day seven days a week and will advise you of the total charge prior to your authorization.
