Public Tours of the
South Wake Solid Waste Management Facility

The Wake County Solid Waste Management Division provides public tours of the South Wake Solid Waste Management Facility on the 2nd Monday of each month at 2 p.m.

Tours will last approximately 45 minutes. Participants will be driven around the many facilities on the site including the Citizen Convenience Center, Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Site, Multi-Material Recycling Facility, Oyster Shell Recycling Area, the top of the closed Feltonsville Landfill, and the active face of the South Wake Landfill.
