Multi-Material Recycling Facilities accept waste that is banned from being disposed in landfills. The facilities accept materials from Wake County businesses and residents.

Locations and Hours of Operation:

Please note that the East Wake Facility is open Saturday and Sunday only.

North Wake: 9029 Deponie Drive, Raleigh [map], 919-845-4540
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

South Wake: 6130 Old Smithfield Road, Apex [map], 919-422-2028
Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
The South Wake Facility is currently under construction and space is limited. During this time, please take large loads (more than 10 items) of
tires, pallets, white goods and televisions to the North Wake Facility.

East Wake: 5051 Wendell Blvd. / Business 64, Wendell [map], 919-365-6650
Hours: Saturday–Sunday only, 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

Operational Information:

  • Open to Wake County residents and businesses only

  • Closed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (at noon) and Christmas Day

Tires

​If you have 5 or more tires you must bring a completed North Carolina Scrap Tire Certification Form (.pdf)

Wood Pallets – must be whole, broken pallets not accepted.

Please note that scavenging or removal of items from Wake County Solid Waste Facilities is strictly prohibited.
