PROJECT SUMMARY
The Wake County Board of Elections Renovations Phase II Project includes upfitting approximately 23,000 square feet of warehouse area to provide much-needed training space, support service areas and meeting rooms. The project will include improvements to the building envelope and the building's functional efficiencies and sustainability; enhancements to mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security systems; and make the building ADA compliant. A small amount of sitework is also anticipated to connect the north parking area to the south loading area with a driveway, to improve site circulation.
Construction is anticipated to begin following the 2020 elections and should be complete by October 2021. Board of Elections operations will continue uninterrupted during the course of the project. Funding for this project was approved by the Wake County Board of Commissioners in June 2019.
