PROJECT SUMMARY
On May 15, 2017, the Wake County Board of Commissioners approved a 40 year ground lease for 2.4 acres on the campus of Wake Tech North for a new EMS Station. This site is located at the intersection of Louisburg Road (US 401) and Fox Road near I-540. This new station will provide EMS response to an area where there is a gap in coverage and it will enable Wake EMS to decluster EMS units currently at Mini-City.
On October 16, 2017, the Board of Commissioners approved the schematic design for the EMS New Hope Station with three single length ambulance bays, which will house a peak load unit, a 24-hour response unit, and an Advance Practice Paramedic vehicle.
On June 18, 2018, the Board of Commissioners approved a construction contract with TCC Enterprises to construct the new facility along with all of the necessary site improvements.
