EMS Wendell Main Station

Site Location
3001 Wendell Blvd.
Wendell, NC 27591

A new EMS substation is being constructed on Wendell Blvd. north of downtown Wendell. This station will serve the Town of Wendell and provide improved response times for the target coverage area.
The building plan is based on a prototype substation plan that was developed as part of the EMS Master Plan. The building will be a single-story, 4,231 square-foot facility with three single-length ambulance bays and will house a peak load unit, 24-hour response unit and Advance Practice Paramedic vehicle.
The building will have a masonry facade and sloped metal roof and will be very similar to the recently completed EMS RDU station near Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
