TheĀ Wake County Transportation Plan addresses mobility needs in unincorporated areas. Initially envisioned as a collector street plan, the study now encompasses thoroughfares, public transit, bicycle and pedestrian needs. This effort builds on the 2025 CAMPO Plan, adopted in 2002. Without new or increased revenues for transportation projects, the cost to build all the recommendations made in this plan will take 30 or more years.
Key Trends Prompting a New Transportation Plan
