Upcoming Meetings
The Wake County Board of Commissioners will hold a public meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2009, in Room 700, Wake County Courthouse, 316 Fayetteville St., Raleigh, to consider the following matter:
ZP-871-09: To rezone narrow portions of 41 parcels, totaling approximately 8.5 acres, as described below. This rezoning is necessary to bring the zoning map into accordance with the newly agreed-upon Wake/Franklin County line. The area affected by this mapping refinement is located along the Wake/Franklin County line in the vicinity of the following roads: Mitchell Town Road, Perry Lane, Pearce Wood Court, Bunns Way, Baynam Pond Road, Pilot-Riley Road, William Pearce Way, Hopkins Chapel Road, Gay Road, Halifax Road, Mitchell Store Road, Old Halifax Road, and Deer Track Lane. Planning Board [agendas] [minutes] – Effective July 1, 2008, the board shall hold a regular meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in Room 700 of the Wake County Courthouse, 316 Fayetteville St., Raleigh, with the ability to call a second or special meeting at other times, with the third Wednesday of each month reserved for this purpose.

Past Meetings:
The Wake County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing beginning at 2 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2009, 7th Floor in Room 700, Wake County Courthouse, 316 Fayetteville St., Raleigh. The following item was considered:
Land Use Plan Amendment 05-08 : Review the Wake County Land Use Plan Map to expand the existing 32.4-acre activity center to include the northwest corner (2.6 acres of a 10.38-acre parcel) at Old Creedmoor Road and NC Highway 98 as a Neighborhood Activity Center (NAC)
Wake County held two open house meetings about proposed amendments ( LUPA 04-08 ) to the County’s Southeast Wake Area Land Use Plan map. The proposals are to change Activity Centers from circles to parcel-based boundaries in accordance with size standards adopted by the Wake County Board of Commissioners. The meetings held were between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
