| Wake County is growing. In recent years Wake County has witnessed historic increases in population, housing, students and incomes. Roads and other infrastructure are spreading rapidly. The following pages attempt to present a brief overview of these trends for the benefit of residents, officials, entrepreneurs and anyone else interested in Wake County.
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates Wake County to have 866,410 residents, as of July 1, 2008. Over the past eight years, Wake County has added 238,564 residents, a 38% increase. |
