Population Estimates

Wake County has experienced explosive growth over the last 30 years. From 1980 through 2010 the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that Wake County grew by roughly 600,000. The County added nearly 275,000 from 2000 to 2010. As of April 1, 2010, Wake County had a population of 900,993* residents.
 
The US Census estimated that Wake County had 974,289 residents as of July 1, 2013.
