The first step to becoming a volunteer is to attend a Volunteer Orientation. The class lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours.

We ask that our Volunteers commit to a minimum of 6 hours per month for a minimum of 6 months.

**At this time the minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old.  If you are under 18 years old, you must volunteer with a parent or guardian.  **

 

Orientation Schedule:

Orientations are currently being scheduled in small group settings based on applicant interest and availability.  All orientations are held at the Wake County Animal Center in the Education Room, unless otherwise indicated. Directions to Center.

After you've completed your Volunteer Application, please email amanda.walrad@wakegov.com, to schedule your participation in the orientation class.
