Becoming A Volunteer

The first step to becoming a volunteer is is to attend a volunteer orientation. The training session lasts approximately 1-1/2 hours. Please RSVP for a session. The minimum age to volunteer is 18. Individuals under 18 may volunteer under the supervision of a parent or guardian over 18.

Orientation Schedule:

Thursday, November 12, at 6 p.m.

All orientations are held at the Wake County Adoption Center in the Education Room. Directions to Center.

Please complete a volunteer application and bring it to orientation or the first day you volunteer. You may download an application off the website or e-mail the volunteer coordinator, talena.chavis@wakegov.com. Persons who do not have access to the Internet are invited to come by the Center to pick up an application at the front desk.
