The SPCA of Wake County is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to protecting animals.  Their mission is to protect, shelter and promote adoption of unwanted animals, to provide education about responsible pet ownership, and to reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs.

The SPCA is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the creation of a more responsible and humane community. The SPCA provides for and protects abandoned, abused and unwanted animals, and promotes animal welfare through programs and services that mutually benefit animals and people.
