The Wake County Animal Adoption Center is closed to the public every Wednesday to allow for deep-cleaning and maintenance. The cat and dog kennel areas are closed to the public on these days for viewing and adoptions.
During the Center's office hours, which include Wednesdays, you may search for a lost pet, turn in an animal and complete adoption paperwork.

Stray animals from the City of Raleigh are taken to the SPCA's Lost and Found Center. Their number is 919-772-3203. Stray animals from the rest of the county are brought to the Wake County Animal Center.
