Foster Animals Available for Adoption

The Wake County Animal Center's Foster Program is a network of animal caregivers who open their hearts and homes to shelter pets in need. Upon the completion of the foster period, these animals are returned to the Center for adoption. Following are pictures of some of the animals that are currently in foster that will be returned to the Center soon for adoption, that are currently available for adoption, and those that have already been adopted.

After spending 7 weeks in foster care, a mother cat and her litter of 5 kittens returned to the Wake County Animal Adoption Center on July 24, 2008. We thank the foster family for their loving care of this feline family, all of whom have found or are close to finding their forever home.

Genghis

Genghis (Male #4589) – This handsome boy knows how to give out some lovin'. He is very friendly to both humans and other cats. He is also quite the snuggle bunny.  His most distinctive feature is the cute little freckle on his left front paw.  Adopted on 8/2/08.

Kahlua

Kahlua (Male #4585) – What a cutie pie! He is a very loving boy and has the most adorable chocolate face and matching feet. His markings are quite remarkable. Just above his little chocolate socks you will see brown tiger stripes, and the rest of his body is a warm beige.  Adopted on 7/30/08.

Twinkle

Twinkle (Female #4588) – Definitely the diva of the group. One minute you think she's just the little sister of her brood of 4 brothers, then the next minute she's keeping right in step like a little tomboy. She fell in love with her foster family's two cats and gets along well with other sweet cats.  Adopted on 7/31/08.

Sagwa

Sagwa (Male #4587) – Voted most loving of all his siblings! This little snuggler is most happy crashing out on your lap or right up next to you in bed. He has a passion for rolled up paper balls – just you wait and see for yourself! His most adorable feature is his freckle on his little nose.  Adopted on 7/31/08.

Meesha Meesha (Male #4586) – The biggest of his 5 siblings, he also has the loudest purr and softest "love looks." Instead of the traditional chocolate colors of a Siamese, he has gray features mixed with beige and white, which really sets off his beautiful blue eyes and adorable purple toes.  Adopted on 8/12/08.

Rosa

Rosa (Female #4590) – She is definitely a beauty queen, wouldn't you agree? Classic Siamese features with snow shoe white feet. She loves to be rubbed behind the ears and is playful just like her 5 babies. She was a great mom, but now she's ready to be your baby! Transferred to Siamese Cat Rescue on 8/4/08. Her new name is Melia (#VA5842). Contact Siamese Cat Rescue if you are interested in adopting her.
