The Wake County Animal Center offers rabies clinics, microchip clinics, offsite adoption events and more! We also help to publicize local rabies and microchip clinics offered by community partners.
Rabies & Microchip Clinic Information
- Rabies vaccines are $5
- Microchips are $10
- All pets must be restrained at the clinic (either by a leash or in a carrier)
- For a 3-year rabies vaccine, you must have written proof of prior vaccination - rabies tags alone will not be accepted as proof
- Payment is by cash or check ONLY
Note: Some clinics are sponsored by groups other than the Wake County Animal Center. They are posted on this page for the community to be aware. Fees may be different than the prices listed above, and any deviation will be included in the event description.
Adoption Specials at the Animal Center
- Any dog or cat that’s been at the shelter for more than two weeks is available for just $25 for dogs and “name your price” for cats. The regular adoption fees are $95 for dogs, $45 for cats under five years old, and $15 for cats that are greater than five years old.
