Donations & Merchandise

Here are some of the ways you can help:
  • Sponsor A Pet
If you are unable to adopt a pet yourself, you may want to consider sponsoring one of our animals. As a sponsor, you help someone find a new home by prepaying all or a portion of the adoption fee.
  • Gift Certificates
Finding the perfect gift for an animal lover just got easier! The Wake County Animal Care, Control & Adoption Center offers an arrangement of gift certificates to be used in adopting a new friend. Please contact Wake County Animal Adoption Center for programs, events and wish list information.

For questions about monetary donations or sponsorships, please e-mail Becky Smith (bsmith@co.wake.nc.us).

  • Mobile Adoptions
The mobile Adoption and Rescue Unit is available to visit your workplace. This vehicle can bring adoptable animals to your employees or community. Consider sponsoring these animals. If your organization is interested, contact Nancy Clemmons at nancy.clemmons@co.wake.nc.us.
  • Public Information
Does your organization have a newsletter, e-mail system or bulletin board that can highlight messages on responsible pet care and encourage the adoption of homeless animals? If so, please contact us so we can brainstorm ways to work together.
  • Volunteer Opportunities
Wake County Animal Adoption Center receives approximately 9,000 pets each year. Volunteers enable us to give our animals the care and attention they need and deserve. We couldn't do it without their help! It is easy to become a volunteer. Simply complete a Volunteer Application and attend a brief orientation. The minimum age to volunteer is 18. Click on the VOLUNTEER section to the left for more information.
