Animal Center

The Wake County Animal Center (WCAC) is an open-admission animal shelter operated by Wake County Government.  We receive all lost, stray, abandoned and surrendered animals from Wake County.  We work in partnership with fosters, volunteers and local/regional rescues, to treat and rehome thousands of homeless animals every year.  Learn more about the center.
