Historic Oak View County Park is a 19th-century historic farmstead with a mission to interpret the agricultural heritage and rural history of North Carolina through educational programs, special events and exhibits.

Park Hours: Monday-Saturday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
We are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Historic Oak View and all its events and programs are Free!

***Please Note: The Main Farmhouse is currently closed due to the removal of the most recent exhibition, "Seeing the Light." The Main Farmhouse is scheduled to reopen on Saturday, July 12, 2008.***
 
Directions: From the I-440 Beltline, take Poole Road (Exit 15) and head east toward Wendell (away from downtown). Look for white fence on left. At stoplight, turn left into Carya Drive (entrance to the Wake County Office Park) and follow "Historic Site" markers into the park.
 

Park Rules and Regulations:

     1.  Speed limit is 20 mph.

     2.  Pets must be kept on a leash – 6 ft. max.

     3.  Open fires are not allowed.

     4.  Park only in designated areas.

     5.  The following are prohibited:

                  a.  loud music

                  b.  alcoholic beverages

                  c.  firearms

                  d.  hunting

                  e.  the collection or removal of any animals or plants
