2008 Triangle Paddlefest
Saturday, September 27
Meeting for all entrants at 9:30 a.m.
Races begin at 10 a.m.
This event is designed for marathon racing boats, touring kayaks and flatwater racing canoes, and will consist of laps around a marked 3-mile loop. There is a longer race primarily for marathon boats (four laps, 12 miles) and a shorter race primarily for touring kayaks and flatwater racing canoes (two laps, 6 miles), though entrants may choose either distance. The winner of each race is the first paddler in a given class to cross the finish line. Beginners are welcome. For more information and to register, please visit www.trianglepaddlers.com.

2008 Triangle Fat Tire Festival

Triangle Off Road Cyclists (TORC) is proud to present the third annual Triangle Fat Tire Festival. Give back to the community and your local park! Join citizens across North Carolina for a good fall cleaning of our waterways. Gloves, bags and other supplies will be provided by the park. Kids In Training (KIT) Adventure Race

2008 Hemophilia 5K Walk

Hemophilia of North Carolina is participating in the inaugural National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF) Hemophilia Walk program. This program will be the largest event dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for bleeding and clotting disorders, and to prevent the complications of these disorders through awareness, education, advocacy and research. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the Walk will officially begin at 10 a.m. Register and enjoy breakfast, music, lots of fun entertainment for the family, and our host emcee for the event from NBC-17. Morrisville Fire Company and the firefighters will be there to kick off the walk – this is sure to be a big hit with the kids!

Hindu Society of North Carolina Walk-A-Thon

This 5K walk is intended to promote health awareness for all and will raise funds for priests’ accommodations. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the Beech Shelter.
