A registration packet, including a health history form and more information, will be sent to you within six weeks of the start of camp, with your paid registration online. Your child will bring a lunch, snacks and water bottle to camp each day. All camps meet at the Cypress Shelter.

Space is limited in each camp, so register early!
 
(If you are registered in one of our camps and would like to send in your child's Health History Form, we can take it anytime.)
 
As of Jan. 1, 2019, we will no longer accept cash on site at any Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space location. Payments can be made on site or in advance with a credit or debit card. Checks must be mailed in advance to

Wildlife Habitat Spring Day Camp
April 16–18 (Tuesday–Thursday)
8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. each day
For ages 8–12; Cost: $100/child
 
Spend three days discovering the habitats many of our birds, reptiles and amphibians occupy at Harris Lake County Park. Check our nest boxes, dip net in our ponds and have fun exploring the park by canoe, wagon and on foot. We will be out in the field as much as the weather allows, so wear your hiking gear and come enjoy spring in the park!
 
 
 
 
Mini Discovery Day Camp

For ages 4–7; Cost: $80/child
 
 
Discover the natural world at Harris Lake County Park while hiking or on a wagon ride.  Spend a day fishing and canoeing, enjoy games and crafts, meet some of our wildlife, make new friends and have lots of fun.

Explore the natural world of Harris Lake County Park as we hike along the Peninsula Trail and off trail to some special areas in the park, including a wagon ride into the longleaf forest. Spend a morning fishing and canoeing, enjoy games and crafts with new friends, “disc-over” the sport of disc golf and practice survival skills. This is an action-packed week of fun outdoors!

Schoolhouse of Wonder Track Out Camps at Harris Lake County Park

For 26 years Schoolhouse of Wonder has sent kids home dirty, tired and happy from their award-winning, outdoor Summer and Track Out Camps. This spring they are again partnering with Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space to offer nature-based, outdoor Track Out Camps at Harris Lake County Park for 5–12-year-olds. Schoolhouse camps offer extended hours, low camper-to-staff ratio, sibling and multi-camp discounts.
