6th Annual Longleaf Festival

FREE family event!

Saturday, May 2, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

 Celebrate the history and importance of the longleaf pine and its ecosystem!

Take a wagon ride to our 60-acre Longleaf Pine Management Area. Many agencies and organizations (listed below) will have educational hands-on exhibits. Enjoy FREE fun festival activities, games, crafts, live animals and more. Check out the bulldozer, fire engine and prescribed burn equipment to learn about the importance of fire in the life of the longleaf pine.
Grab lunch at the Chick Wagon food truck and enjoy live entertainment provided by the Kudzu Ramblers and Me and This Guy Named Clark!
There will be something for everyone to enjoy!

Ride the Longleaf Express wagon out to the edge of our 60-acre longleaf forest for a guided hike! Join foresters from the NC Forest Service on a wagon ride and brief 10-15 minute hike to explore and learn about the life of the longleaf pine. 
New for 2015 - We will be issuing tickets for wagon rides!
Tickets and seats are free, but limited and tickets are first-come, first serve!
Get your tickets at the information tent near the restrooms. 
Rides will depart at 11:15, 11:50, 12:25, 1:00, 1:35, 2:10, and 2:45.
