Longleaf Festival

FREE family event!
Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Celebrate with us at our 7th annual Longleaf Festival!
Longleaf Festival celebrates the longleaf pine ecosystem.  At the festival you will learn about the life of the longleaf pine, how it is managed with fire, its history and the wildlife and plants that depend on its natural habitat.
There will be 30+ agencies and organizations with interactive exhibits and information to share about longleaf pines and other fun topics.
Get a ticket to ride the Longleaf Express to our 60 acre restored Longleaf Forest where you will see renewed life after our January 2016 prescribed burn.
Visit all the live animals – some to touch and others to look at!
Kids (and adults!) will enjoy the many games and crafts we will have at the Festival.
Relax and listen to the live entertainment and plan to have lunch from the food trucks.
NEW at Longleaf Festival: "The Greatest Naval Stores Show on Earth!"
See how our NC longleaf pines produced tar, pitch and turpentine for the entire world. Live demonstrations will begin at 10 a.m. with the last one at 3 p.m., performing at the top of each hour. Free, no registration required.
Parking for this event will be at our parking field, we will provide a free shuttle to the event area.  Or you may choose to walk through the woods.
There will be something for everyone to enjoy!
For wagon ride ticket information and to see a list
of our exciting exhibitors, visit our Longleaf Festival page.
