Longleaf Festival

FREE family event!
Saturday, May 21, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Celebrate the history and importance of the longleaf pine and its ecosystem!
Take a wagon ride to our 60-acre Longleaf Pine Management Area. Many agencies and organizations will have educational hands-on exhibits. Enjoy FREE fun festival activities, games, crafts, live animals and more. Check out the bulldozer, fire engine and prescribed burn equipment to learn about the importance of fire in the life of the longleaf pine.

Parking for this event will be at our parking field, and then you will have your choice to ride a shuttle or walk through the woods to the event area.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy!
Check back for an updated list of our exhibitors that will be at the event!
 Longleaf Express:
Ride the Longleaf Express wagon out to the edge of our 60-acre longleaf forest for a guided hike! Join foresters from the NC Forest Service on a wagon ride and brief 10–15-minute hike to explore and learn about the life of the longleaf pine.
Again for 2016 – We will be issuing tickets for wagon rides!
