Big Sweep

Sunday, March 22

Ages: 6 and up
Fee: FREE!
Meet in front of the Park Office.
After an introduction and assignments, we will begin our Big Sweep!
Help keep Harris Lake clean! Volunteers are needed to help collect trash along New Hill Holleman Road, preventing lots of litter from reaching Harris Lake (minimum age 10), or inside the park along the shore (minimum age 6). All should wear sturdy shoes or boots, dress for the weather, bring a water bottle and your own gloves, if you prefer. We will provide park gloves and trash bags. Volunteers collecting along the road will wear a provided orange vest.
Please register in advance by calling the park office at 919-387-4342.
Everyone must sign the Wake County Volunteer Release. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. If you are coming with a group, the release must be signed by parents prior to the event. For questions, contact Erin Latimer at 919-387-4341.
