Kurious Kids Nature Day Camp:
June 23–25  
3 days of camp (Tues.–Thur.)
9 a.m. to noon
For Ages 4–6
$36 per child
Meet at the Cypress Shelter
 
 
 
Kurious Kids will discover the natural world of Harris Lake County Park through short hikes, themed crafts and games, fishing, dip netting in the pond and meeting our program animals. Make new friends and have lots of 
fun as we explore the park together.  
Campers provide their own snack.

 

Nature Explorers Day Camp:
July 6–10     
5 days of camp (Mon.–Fri.)
9 a.m.–1 p.m.
For Ages 7–11
Cost: $80 per child
Meet at the Cypress Shelter

 

Each day will be a new adventure! Go fishing and canoeing, take a wagon ride to our Longleaf Forest, scoop in the pond to see who lives there, create themed crafts, play games and explore nature as you meet new friends. Campers provide their own lunch and snack.

 

Nature Explorers Mini Day Camp:
August 4–6
3 days of camp (Tues.–Thur.)
9 a.m.–1 p.m.
For Ages 7–11
Cost: $48 per child
Meet at the Cypress Shelter

 

A mini version of the full week: Go fishing and canoeing, take a wagon ride to our Longleaf Forest, scoop in the pond to see who lives there, create themed crafts, play games and explore nature as you meet new friends. Campers provide their own lunch and snack.

 
 
This day camp Health History Form must be completed and mailed to the park at least two weeks before the start of their camp.  
 
 
As of Jan. 1, 2019, we no longer accept cash on site at any Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space location. Payments can be made on site or in advance with a credit or debit card. Checks must be mailed in advance to

Schoolhouse of Wonder Track Out Camps at Harris Lake County Park

For 26 years Schoolhouse of Wonder has sent kids home dirty, tired and happy from their award-winning, outdoor Summer and Track Out Camps. This spring they are again partnering with Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space to offer nature-based, outdoor Track Out Camps at Harris Lake County Park for 5–12-year-olds. Schoolhouse camps offer extended hours, low camper-to-staff ratio, sibling and multi-camp discounts.
