Weather Update: Longleaf Festival is rain or shine. The forecast calls for scattered showers, so they may miss us completely! If the forecast changes to something worse, such as severe thunderstorms, we will make a decision by 4 p.m. on Friday. We will post an update on this page and Facebook, and our park voicemail will have any updates, as well.

Join us for our 9th annual Longleaf Festival to celebrate the longleaf pine ecosystem!
Learn about the life of the longleaf pine, how it is managed with fire, its history and the wildlife and plants that depend on this unique natural habitat.

There is something for everyone to enjoy!

Get your ticket to ride the Longleaf Express to our 60-acre restored Longleaf Forest, guided by NC Forest Service staff. Here you will experience the magic of the longleaf pine.
(See "Getting tickets to ride the Longleaf Express" at bottom of page)

Sit back, relax and delight in the musical stylings of the
and
Kyle Joynes!

Enjoy a bite to eat at one of our food trucks: Bruster's Real Ice Cream, Mr. A's Beignets,

At 1:15 p.m. outside the Loblolly Shelter, listen to a fascinating and informative talk by Earl Ijames, Curator with the NC Museum of History -  "The Last of the Tar Heels and the Battle of Bentonville".

See live birds of prey, reptiles and amphibians up close – touch a snake!

Enjoy the many games and crafts on hand for kids (and adults!).

Plan to park in our parking field. Ride the parking shuttle to the event area, or walk through the woods while searching for items on a scavenger hunt!

Visit with over 40 agencies and organizations who will come to share interactive exhibits and information about longleaf pines and other fun topics:
