May Fishing Fun Day
Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Free Family Event!
Bring the kids out for a morning of games, fishing and fun! All ages are invited to fish for fun with a rod of your own, or you can borrow one of ours.
Kids ages 7-14 can participate in the NC Bass Federation’s “Reel Kids for College” casting contest.
Win a chance to go to the Championship being held in Charlotte, and cast your way into winning a rod and reel to take home.
Registration for the casting tournament starts at 9:45 a.m.
Also, learn some fishing tips from the pros of Triangle Bass Anglers as you fish along the shoreline.
You will also have a chance to view a display of bass boats and see the “catch of the day” in their live holding tanks.
Jeffrey Thomas, FLW Tour Pro from Broadway, N.C., will have along his custom-wrapped, Pedigree-sponsored Ranger Boat and truck for you to check out!
Also, make sure you stop by the Coast Guard Auxiliary booth to learn more about water-related safety programs. Bait, games, prizes and refreshments will be provided while supplies last.
Call to register! Event Sponsors:
Triangle Bass Anglers, NC Bass Federation, Skeet’s Custom Fishing Rods, Cabela’s, J. Spell Enterprises, Custom Lures Unlimited and Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space.
