Page Content Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space participates in Take A Child Outside (TACO) Week by offering outdoor programs at different Wake County Parks!
TACO week occurs annually the week of September 24–30, and is a program developed by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences to get children outdoors to discover the natural world around them. The goal of TACO week is to help children to understand and appreciate the environment in which they live and to have fun exploring nature! Pledge to take a child outside by visiting www.takeachildoutside.org.
