Whether you are an outdoor buff wanting to hone your skills, or a dabbler who would just like to try something new, come hang with the Blue Jay staff and work on some Serious Skills! Criteria II or III or CEU credit may be available for participants in the NC EE Certification Program, depending on the session.

Serious Skills for Adults: Winter Wonders
Saturday, Dec. 29, 10:30 a.m.–noon
Many people view winter as a time when nature sleeps, but in NC's piedmont we may get to see the unexpected sight of a beautiful Mourning Cloak butterfly basking in the winter sun. Kinglets, both Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned, grace us here in the winter, while evergreens such as Christmas Ferns, Spotted Wintergreen and Little Brown Jug enjoy the winter spotlight. Come celebrate these Winter Wonders and more during our adult winter hike. Wear clothing and footwear appropriate for a leisurely one- to two-mile hike. This workshop can count as Criteria II or III credit for participants in the NC EE Certification program.
