 Advanced WILD: Salamanders

Saturday, February 2, 2013
10a.m.–2:30 p.m. (with a working lunch)

Advanced WILD: Salamanders. Join the NC Wildlife Resources Commission in a learning adventure about our Piedmont sallies. Try some activities designed for formal and
non-formal education settings. We'll have some time to observe the newts of Blue Jay Point, and perhaps some other species will be visible in egg masses at this time. February brings the great migration and salamander congress. Learn about the fascinating life-cycles of the seldom seen mole salamanders, and raise your students' awareness about our
unique and wonder-filled State.

This 4-hour workshop counts as a Criteria II workshop in the
NC Environmental Education Certification Program.
No additional hours are available.

Please wear field clothing and bring a bag lunch and drink.

Adult Program. FREE, but preregistration is required.
To register, call 919-870-4330 or email bluejaypoint@wakegov.com.
