Family Wildlife Series
For truly "wild" families. Family Wildlife Series programs are open to all ages, (unless otherwise noted) although information and activities are most appropriate for ages 5 and up.
Fee: $3/person or $5/family (unless otherwise noted)
Preregistration is required for most Family Wildlife Series Programs. To check for space availability, you may call the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education at 919-870-4330. To register, you will need to submit a completed registration form and payment by mail or in person.

My Yard is Full of Birds!
Monday, February 20, 10–11:30 a.m.
Join Blue Jay staff to hear a bird story (or two), try a fun bird activity (or three) and count how many different kinds of birds we can see from Blue Jay’s front porch as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count on this Teacher Workday Monday. Make a suet feeder to take home! This program is FREE in honor of the Great Backyard Bird Count, but preregistration is required.

Owl Prowl
Friday, March 2, 6:30–8 p.m.
Venture into the night on a Blue Jay hike. Learn about owl habits and adaptations as we listen for these nocturnal birds. Family Program – Ages 5 and up for this hike, please. $5/family
